Elise is passionate about stories that reveal the dualities of the Human experience and finding common ground.

This London girl has always been on the move. I lived in the UK until the age of 7, but soon found myself in the arid deserts of Arizona. I grew up in an artistic household; between my mother’s career in musical theatre and my father’s professional ballroom dancing, I have always had my eyes on the stage. My first experiences with the industry were modeling, televised commercial voiceovers and radio ads. I attended Arizona School for the Arts for middle school and high school where I studied voice and cello. While there, I performed in glee choir and was cast as Rizzo in the school’s production of Grease, encouraging me to continue pursuing this dream of stage performance. Being of biracial heritage, I felt a natural dualism in my identity and realized that nothing in this world is mutually exclusive. This knowledge encouraged me to pursue my love of both opera and musical theatre, without the pressure of constricting myself to one style. After high school, I exchanged dust for snow and moved to Indiana for my Bachelor of Vocal Performance. While there, I got the chance to play one of my favourite roles to date: Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act. Getting to be Deloris really opened my eyes to my own personal "brand" as a singing performer: bold, emotional, and high-energy. During my junior year of undergrad, I moved to France for one summer after being cast as the title role in Offenbach's La Fille du Tambour-Major. It was a life-changing experience and I grew my love of the French language to the point of practical fluency. I decided to go straight into graduate school at the age of 22 and return to the warmth of  Arizona State. My most recent roles include Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act, Understudy Josephine Baker in Harmony: A New Musical (off-Broadway), Kaylee the Coordinator from Speed Dating Tonight (a One Act Opera), Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors, and Squeak in The Color Purple.
